As a division of Home Inspection Services, Inc., RALEIGH RADON is locally owned and operated by Jim and Lindsay Suchy.

Jim Suchy

Jim graduated in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University in 1980. Upon graduation, he worked as a cost and scheduling engineer for Fluor Engineers and Constructors in Southern California, building oil refineries. He returned to the Triangle area to work as a scheduling engineer at Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant during its construction in the mid-1980's.

In 1986, he founded his own residential construction business, James M. Suchy Construction Company, Inc. Having worked many summers as a carpenter since age 16, he had a wealth of experience and a desire to create quality custom homes as a general contractor. Throughout the next 15 years, he built over 100 custom homes in the Triangle area.

In 1997, he earned his North Carolina Home Inspector license and founded Home Inspection Services, Inc. Since 1999, he has been a full-time home inspector, completing thousands of thorough home inspections and radon tests.

Jim is currently a member of ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) and NCLHIA (North Carolina Licensed Home Inspectors Association).

Lindsay Suchy

Lindsay graduated with a degree in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

In 2006, she earned her North Carolina Real Estate Broker license, and has assisted local Realtors in developing their brokerage businesses.

Lindsay is a full-time radon analyst and maintains active memberships in the North Carolina Association of Realtors and the Triangle Multiple Listing Service. As a member of the Triangle MLS, Lindsay can access properties that are currently listed on the market. Because of this controlled access, Realtors and homeowners do not need to be present when the radon monitors are set-up or when the tests are concluded.
